How I found Sahaja Yoga?

I have been practicing Sahaja Yoga since 1985. Although it seems long but I have a long way to go to become a Sahaja Yogi in the real sense of the word. If I look back, I do feel that I have evolved as human being as far as my spiritual growth is concerned. Although, I admit that sometimes I do get caught up in mundane issues of life. Yet, I’m trying my best.

Today, I want to share with you – how I found Sahaja Yoga.

One evening when I came home from a school excursion to Shantiniketan, I saw H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi sitting as a guest in our home. As soon as I saw Her, my heart opened. She gave me a hug with so much love that I did not want to leave Her. I was just a kid with no idea about meditation but in my heart I just knew that She is the One! After this visit, my parents started meditating. I copied them. Result: I was a joyful and happy person with a very loving and very special MOTHER!

Now, I’m married to a wonderful Sahaja Yogi and I can say that Shri Mataji has indeed made my life heavenly. She has guided me to become a honest, loving and compassionate human being.

    Jai Shree Mata Ji !

I found your website useful for meditation.
You have told about the effect of meditation but not about Sahaja meditation.
Also please tell about the treatments of Sahajayoga.

    Jai Shree Mata Ji !

    Dear Jyoti,
The only meditation I know is Sahaja meditation. So, whenever I talk about meditation on my website, it is Sahaja meditation. I don’t know what sort of treatments you are talking about. Any health benefits because of Sahaja Yoga is a by-product and should not be the main purpose of meditation. This is because then you will get deviated from the main goal, which is to become a better human being and evolve to become a saint. Please feel free to ask any further questions you might have.
