Life of Pi
December 8th, 2006
“Life of Pi” by Yann Martel is an unforgettable story of survival. I was impressed by the faith Pi had in God. He never had a doubt which is just too difficult during his adventure in the Pacific Ocean. He is a seeker indeed.
My favorite incident in the novel is when the priest, pundit and mullah – all of them are mad at Pi because he follows Christianity, Hinduism and Islam devotedly. I laughed aloud when I read this anecdote. The only criticism I have is that there was too much details about animal behavior that I had to skip reading. Other than that, the story was gripping and thrilling. It is indeed “a story that will make you believe in God” as vouched in the novel.
