This week, we read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”! We did following daily activities after reading the book.
Everyday, Arjun counted 10 teddy grahams and ate it. Of course, he loved this activity 🙂
We watched couple of videos for this book on youtube. I downloaded the Brown Bear, Brown Bear printables and we worked with most of them. We tried to place the animal cards in the right sequence (as in the book) everyday and by the end of the week he almost got the sequence right. We did puzzle as shown in the photo below.
His favorite was the the dice game where he threw a dice (comes with printables that I downloaded) and whatever animal came on the dice he had to color 1 square each time. The one that made to 10 squares won. For Arjun, brown bear won!
We made a paper plate brown bear face. He painted the plate with brown water color, crayons and marker. He loved making it but it was destroyed within 3-4 hours. I am so glad that I took a photo as soon as we were done.
Last but not the least, we did sensory craft for Brown Bear! He just couldn’t understand what we were doing but when it was ready, he was happy. In the middle part of the bear, we used brown circles made with 1-hole puncher. He enjoyed using 1-hole puncher for 5 minutes and then he announced that he is done. So, I had to do it all by myself until we had enough. For face of the bear, we used the shavings of pencil and for the rear part of the bear, we used “dalia” (wheat porridge).
