This January, Kabir wrote a letter to President Obama. He did get the standard reply and that thrilled him so much. He felt so privileged to receive a reply.
Here’s the letter:
P.S. The assignment was to write a persuasive letter. I told him that he can write it to anyone he wants (I was expecting him to write to his grandparents or some relative). To test me, he asked me if he can write to President. I said yes but he thought I was joking at first but then he started to love the idea. Then it took him a day to figure out what is he going to convince the president about. Then another day to figure out 3 points to convince his proposal. Other than refute his reasons and push him to think harder, I didn’t help him in any way. In Kindergarten, he had similar assignment. He had written to his father convincing him to teach how to operate TV and his main reason was so that he can teach his own kids when he grows up. It was so persuasive that Amit did teach him how to operate TV.
